Are you wondering why your registration for Cold War Boats has never been approved?

Do you want to make sure you don't miss any Familygrams?

Are you hoping to reconnect with old shipmates, but you haven't been contacted?

Here are three tips to help you stay connected:

First, when you register, the server confirms your email to verify it is a valid email address. It does this by sending you an email with a confirmation link. You must click on this link to confirm your email. We do not process your registration until your email is confirmed.

If you don't confirm, we routinely send weekly and often daily email reminders to prompt you to confirm by clicking the enclosed link. Given that there are nearly thirty of you that have registered but not confirmed your emails, it is likely that our confirmation requests are ending up in your spam or junk email folder. So...

Second, check your junk or spam mailbox. It is likely that Cold War Boats email is ending up marked as spam or junk. Simply move it back to your Inbox and reply as normal, and...

Third, add Cold War Boats to your whitelist. A whitelist is your email application or webmail's method for ensuring that important email you know is not spam or junk is directed to your inbox every single time. To add Cold War Boats to your whitelist, you will have to check your email application or with your internet service provider for the specific instructions necessary to add *@coldwarboats.org to your whitelist (note the asterisk).

Once you do, any email that ends with @coldwarboats.org, will end up in your inbox, and you'll never miss any correspondence from Cold War Boats including Familygrams, contact attempts by other shipmates, and other organizational notifications.

On a final note - keep your email address, phone number, and mailing address up to date. If you don't, we will lose the ability to contact you, and your account will be marked with as "Lost Contact"!
