SSN 680 LOGROOM ARCHIVES
1972 Personnel Reports
Personnel Diaries, Officer Distribution Control Reports (ODCR), and Enlisted Distribution and Verification Reports (EDVR) provided formal documentation for personnel assigned to the USS WILLIAM H. BATES (SSN 680) and their billet assignments.
The ODCR and EDVR allowed you to determine if your command was manned appropriately, both in numbers and assigned job specialities. The Personnel Diary documented daily personnel related activity, including changes in rate and pay, submarine qualifications, and the command prior to the Bates and your designated command on departure.
A wealth of critical information covering more than 28 years, these documents provide the factual basis of your time on board the Bates, alleviating the need for us to rely upon our aging memories.
Volunteers are needed to help process this information into the USS WILLIAM H. BATES (SSN 680) database through this website.
All you need is your computer, access to the site, and your time and energy. If you volunteer, details will be provided on exactly what you would do to support this project.
If you don't have the time, visual acuity, or patience to commit to data entry, verification and validation, please contribute to our Master Sailing List Research fund. You can make a one-time or recurring donation by credit card or Paypal using the "Support The Site!" campaign found at HOMEPORT >> DISBURSING >> COLD WAR BOATS, or you can contact us to determine how and where to mail a check.
Total cost of this record recovery is expected to exceed $1200.00 for each of 394 boats, and support commands.
Either way, your support is greatly appreciated.
