How do I contact a fellow shipmate by email?

To contact a former shipmate through the website, you must first be registered and logged in:

IF they are registered on the site, THEN:

1.  Go to Quarters >> SSN-680.org Members and search for the shipmate that you want to contact. You can page through the lists, or you can use the Search Users button just above and to the right of the page title.

If they happen to be on-line you can also click their name under Current Watchsection.

If they have just recently signed up (one of the most recent ten), you can click their name under Welcome Aboard!

2.  Click on their name. This will take you to their User Profile.

3.  When you get to their User Profile, select Messages >> Send Email To User. This will open a standard email form.

4.  Fill out the form and click send.

5.  That's all there is to it.

6.  Contact the Site Administrator if you have difficulty.

IF they are NOT registered on the site, THEN,

1.  Contact either the Missing Shipmate Coordinators or the Site Administrator using the Contact Us link at the bottom of each page.

2.  Let us know who you are looking for, and we will check the Master Sailing List to see if we have contact information for them. If we do, we will either contact them on your behalf and let them know you are looking for them, or if we have been in touch with them, share their contact info so you can contact them directly.

3.  Contact the Site Administrator if you have any questions.

OPSEC Policy

The Cold War Boats Association prohibits the posting of Classified material on the the coldwarboats.org website.

Any documents, photographs, audio or video recordings, or artifacts that are currently considered Classified are not permitted, and will be removed.

Any information that could compromise the operational security of active duty personnel, commissioned ships, or their missions is not permitted, and will be removed.

Access to personally identifiable information (PII) of active-duty service members or information related to the crews of submarines currently in full or limited commission is restricted to administrators only.
