How do I upload a photo to be my User Profile avatar (image)?

logroom 06To upload a photo to the be the avatar (image) on your User Profile:

  1. Prepare your photo. A good digital image would be in .jpg, .png, or .webp format, no more than 600 pixels wide by 800 pixels high, no more than 200K - 300K. If you can, crop the image so you aren't a mere flyspeck in the distance.
  2. Edit your User Profile. You can get there by clicking Edit Your Profile (imagine that) on the Watch, Quarter, and Station Bill in the right hand column on any page.
  3. Click on the Portrait tab down between Security and Privacy tabs.
  4. Using the pop-down menu, select Upload New Image.
  5. The Select Image File field will open, along with some limitations on uploading.
  6. Click Choose File, and navigate to the appropriate folder on your computer.
  7. Select the file you desire, and click Open.
  8. The browser window will close. Click Update. Your image will upload, resize automatically, be displayed as your user avatar.

You can change your image as often as you like.

Contact your Site Lead or the Site Administrator if you have difficulty.
