The SS 524 in the '60s

Personnel Diaries, Officer Distribution Control Reports (ODCR), and Enlisted Distribution and Verification Reports (EDVR) provided formal documentation for personnel assigned to USS PICKEREL (SS 524)and their billet assignments.

The ODCR and EDVR allowed you to determine if your command was manned appropriately, both in numbers and assigned job specialities. The Personnel Diary documented daily personnel related activity, including changes in rate and pay, submarine qualifications, the command prior to USS PICKEREL (SS 524) and your designated command on departure.

A wealth of critical information covering roughly 30 years, these documents provide the factual basis of your time on board the USS PICKEREL (SS 524), alleviating the need for us to rely upon our aging memories.

NOTE: Prior to 1956-1957, Officer rosters were included in Deck Logs, and are not listed here.

Access to personally identifiable information (PII) of active-duty service members or information related to the crews of submarines currently in full or limited commission is restricted to administrators only.
