P.O.D.

Check out the Scuttlebutt in the Operational Schedule forum - I added some threads about our schedule between 81 and 85. See if you can remember anything regarding operations, deployments, overhauls and liberty ports and add your info as replies to the threads. If we ever get it hammered out, I'll make it a permanent part of the site.I added a new set of photos from Diego Garcia in 1985, I think, my second visit there. More will follow as time allows.

Captain Leon Uplinger has checked in, I report with great pleasure and satisfaction. Welcome aboard, Cap'n. We're glad to have you back.

Note that so far, all we have are nukes on the sailing list. Let's get the word out and get all our shipmates headed this way.

Don't forget to add names to the Looking For Shipmates forum whenever you think of somebody that we don't currently have listed. I need your help here. If you aren't sure how to work the forum, try it and give a shot. If it gets bolluxed up, it's easy for me to straighten it out, and you can edit your entries until you are satisfied they look like the rest of them.

Finally, this isn't my site. It's our site. Everyone who sailed on-board the William H. Bates is entitled to be here, and I'm glad I can be a part of it.
